Touraj (T. J.) Houshmandzadeh, Jr. (born September 26, 1977 in Barstow, California) is an American football wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League and is of African-American and Iranian descent (father is Iranian, mother is African-American). The name Houshmandzadeh (in Persian characters ﻫﻮﺸﻤﻨﺪﺰﺍﺪﻩ) is a compound name meaning the "son (ﺰﺍﺪﻩ) of wisdom (ﻫﻮﺸﻤﻨﺪ)". He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oregon State.
